MIA Spotlight: 1st Lt. Robert N. Gage
Lt. Robert N. Gage who, a B24 pilot, was killed in action after completing a bombing run over Balikpapan Borneo on Oct. 3, 1944. The squadron received a Presidential Unit Station for that effort. Lt. Gage also received the Air Medal with 5 oak leaf clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Purple Heart.

Rita Alderson gave to Project Recover in honor of her uncle, Capt. Charles F. Pratte. Capt. Charles F. Pratte, Jr., landed the Belle of Texas using three parachutes tied to gun mounts to slow the B-24 when its hydraulic system was shot out.
