Major General William J. Walker, USA (Ret.) Chief Security Officer, Allied Universal, brings leadership expertise and passion to help return American service members missing in action

Project Recover, a global nonprofit dedicated to repatriating American service members missing in action (MIA) and providing answers and closure to MIA Gold Star Families, is proud to announce the appointment of Major General William J. Walker (Ret.) to its Advisory Council.

MG Walker was the 38th House Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. House of Representatives during the 117th Congress and the first African American to hold the office. Prior to this position, he was the 23rd Commanding General of the District of Columbia National Guard. For 30 years, MG Walker enjoyed a distinguished parallel career with the  Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). He was promoted to the DEA Senior Executive Service in January 2003, with his final assignment being Deputy Assistant Administrator in Charge of Strategic Intelligence. MG Walker is an Afghanistan war veteran, a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a National Academy of Public Administration Fellow and MIT Seminar XXI Fellow.
